We had a terrible experience with Dish Network. If you want this service, call them get a pricing quote, tell them you need to discuss it with your husband, and call back. I spoke to several people and the price was not the same twice. They have no clue what they are doing. The supervisors will not back up the promises they make. They say they will call you back, and don’t. Beware! I’m signing up for Direct TV. It is too bad because I love the DISH menus. They need to get it together!
I miss DIRECTV. Just switched to save money and miss the better sports coverage DIRECTV has.
I love DISH Network, especially around this time of year. The sports programming is unbeatable!
I highly recommend DISH for people who want solid programming at a reasonable price. The equipment is good and customer service has been awesome so far.

I work in customer service but not for either sat co., I think one of the comment that staff is uneducated and bragging about what they make is uncalled for. Dish has been good for us since mid 90’s, however, lately they have penalized us for keeping our older equipment from 2003 by puting on a surge charge for not having a dual tuner. went from $6 to $22 extra within 6 months. They no longer give one months free for paying a year in advance. I was paying $715 annually for top 250 pkg with the $6 for local channels added each month. Looking into direct for new customer promo. Dish’s loyalty dept doesn’t want to work with me. I’m worried about either co adding extra fees at anytime. I’m still real mad about health channel being removed (I’m sure to save costs)to put OWN, which is stupid reruns of dr phil
I gave DISH Network a star rating of 1 only because a ZERO is not offered as a choice. Since day one, we have been extremely disappointed with everything about this service. The installation was a nightmare complete with the technician drilling a hole into our $2,000 couch. Everytime it gets cloudy we lose reception. We have about 25+ home shopping networks and 30+ jewelry channels. AS FOROUR BILL: this is the most sneaky, dishonest cable company we have ever dealt with. The “promotional” price of 24.99/mo for 12 months is complete BS! Our bill steadily increased over a year about every 3 months until I just recently canceled after being charged 82.99/mo!!! Upon canceling, you will get nailed with a huge fee, take apart, send back and pay shipping costs for all of THEIR equipment, and GET ON YOUROWNROOF to take uninstall your dish!!! What is THAT?!?!?!? Are they serious? Oh yes, very serious. DO NOTGETDISH NETWORK!!! YOUWILLVERYMUCHREGRET IT!!!
I like Dish network because most of the time I can see my baseball game, specially during the weekends. But what I don’t like is the way they sell you the package, telling you about they have more channels than Direct TV Including all direct TV channels, when what they really have is 70% of Direct TV Channels and the rest are repeated channels. Plus with Dish network you don’t have to wait for the rain to start to loose signal, all you need is cloudy day. . . and there you have it, no cable.
In all honesty I am very happy with Dish Network as a whole. My only issue is the fact that they no longer carry any local professional sports programming (MSG, YES, SNY). At least the giants play on free TV. Outside of the occasional lost signal; I’ve never had an issue that went unresolved. It’s a
shame I will have to leave and go to Direct TV.
We had been dish network customer for 5 yrs and now that we are moving out of this house they are not ready to take the DISH down from our house. When we call them they answer in bad words.Never ever use DISH network.
I have been a Dish Network customer for about a year. The cost, channel line-up and the reception is excellent. However the equipment that they send you is horrible and often refurbished. I personally have the VIP612 HD receiver/DVR. Ever since I have had it it freezes atleast once a day and I have to preform a reset. I returned the box for a new one and again they sent a refurbished one and again the same problems. I went to the website to see if there were otehr options and all they wanted to do was troubleshoot even though I had already done all the troubleshooting with another tech before. They use canned responses and don’t care about getting your issues resolved. One time I told them I wasn’t sure if it was solved and they said “I am glad we could resolve your issue today. Is there anything else I can do for you.” They were not even paying attention to what I was saying. When my contract is up I will be leaving unless they can get me a quality receiver that works as presrcirbed.
Came across a sales person for DirecTV and they had a pretty good promotion and gave it to me in writing. So far, they have cancelled my installation twice and no showed on the third time. I was told when I called their company that it was through a local provider so I would have to call them. I waited on hold for over a half an hour to be told I was never put on the schedule and they would reschedule me. No apology, no sympathetic tone, nothing. It’s like this is ordinary for them. I talked to a manger and he told me they would put me on high priority to get my installation done. He scheduled me for another week away. That’s what they have been doing anyway. I was high priority to get off the phone is what I was.
